If your in a serious relationship, a hickey may mean a mark of possession.. My BF loves to place hickeys on me on places where others can easily see them.. It's like a sign which said "She's mine" or "Hands off" or "Taken".. On the other hand, there are guys (mostly those who are in a 'fling'/not serious) relationship who waould simply place hickeys for no reason at all..
Know the person who placed the hickey on.. Hickeys have more than one interpretation.. A person's view may differ from the other..
