ive been hearing if you can pay the army as mch as they will be paying u for the rest of your contract u can get out

It is not possible to buy out of your contract in the United States. There are administrative separations, but not to the highest bidder. The regulation is AR 635-200. I have included a link to the download site below.

Yes, if you joined and made your mark during the Civil war you could buy your way out for $100 in gold.
