Hi,

I just returned from Puerto Rico on Friday night.

A carton of cigarettes will cost you between $18.95 - $19.99 at the airport in San Juan. Divide this by 10 packs in a carton and you get 1.90 per pack approximately.

This price was for Marlboro as well as other popular cigarettes.
If you're interested in less expensive Puerto Rican cigarettes, I bought a brand of "Rhumba" cigarettes as a joke gift - they sell those too. Puerto Rico itself just started charging TAXES!

You'll be better off to buy your cigarettes at the Duty Free station in the Airport if you can. When they ask if you're on an international flight say yes, London. Mainly because the Duty Free stores are inexpensive as there are no taxes.

Good luck! Buena Suerte!
