I'm 5'2" and I weigh about 130lbs, somewhere in that range. I get plenty of excercise daily and eat pretty healthy. I don't drink sodas, I eat a lot of tofu. I drink soymilk.. and plenty of water. For a snack I'll eat chestnuts. Sometimes I'll have a salad or a chicken wrap for a meal. They're really good.. but at school sometimes, they don't have healthy food so I have to skip lunch and in the morning I don't ever have time for breakfast. When I try to get breakfast, I'm really rushing into eating it.

so usually when I get home from school, I don't eat because I really don't feel that hungry. When I do try to eat, it's really small portions now.

What should I do?

You don't mention your age,but I can tell you that you are ruining your metabolism by skipping meals. It is very important to stretch your daily calories out throughout the day. Force breakfast...just get up earlier.

The most important meal of the day is breakfast...you've heard it a zillion times, right? Well, it's true. The best thing that you can do is put something in your backpack that will keep, such as a granola bar or (your example) some nuts in a bag. I actually do this and sometimes I eat them...but other times, they stay in the backpack for a long time...but they're still good when I do need them!
Breakfast is the "jump start" for your metabolism, because you haven't eaten for many hours when the AM rolls around. So if you don't eat something, then your body gets the message that there's a fast, and you go into storage mode. So not only does your body not burn the calories it would normally, but it actually STORES EXTRA for you because it thinks you're not going to be fed for awhile. A nifty thing for our ancestors to have, but it kinda sucks for us in today's world where there's always food around.

hmmmmm it seems like you are doing a lot of good things, the way you describe your eating habits sounds a little iffy though. I know you have heard " Breakfast is the most important meal of the day" but it is true, especially if you are going to skip lunch. Might I suggest eating smaller meals around 4 - 6 times a day. If you can intensify your excersise routine

eat! you should be eating something small every2 hrs--get breakfast bars they give you calories to keep your matabolism going and easy --they taste good---then through the day snack if you do not have an appatite you still need to eat --it helps burn calories. ---they make those 100 calorie packs i live off of them im 5'8 130 thats how i stay in shape +exersize is a big thing you know you have to exersize for 20 mins to even start burning enough calories to even count? weight watchers is a good idea to help you eat more regularly--but instead of doing points i do calories i eat at least 1200 everyday sometimes i go over but its not that big a deal--

Your diet sounds relatively healthy but to loose weight cut down on the carbohydrates. Read the labels on the foods you mentioned and you will find they contain a lot of carbohydrates. Aim for lean proteins (chicken fish...) and leafy green veges plus asparagus, broccoli, etc. No chestnuts and minimum fruit until you've lost the weight you want to lose.

Try to talk to your doctor and let them know what you have been doing so far. They might be able to come up with a better solution. You don't say how much you want to loose. But by the sound of it you don't seem like you are overweight and you seem to be doing the right things so I would just check with you doctor. Maybe try weight watchers if you think you need to loose a lot.
Good Luck.

even though you don't have time to eat breakfast, you should have something. even an apple would suffice. and eating in small portions is a good idea. keeps your metabolism up.

remember to limit saturated fats and sugars. unsaturated fats and complex carbohydrates are good. you may also wanna exercise a little. sweat! more your lymphatic fluids!
