I would never be one to endorse this new regime and thier policies of hate, using the immigration issue as nothing more than a distraction from the underhanded things that are being perpetrated against the american people. BUT the arguement that we cannot continue to economically absorb people who are not willing to come here through the legal process has great merit. The americans that are here are having thier homes taken, thier jobs shipped overseas and the ability to send thier children to a college or university is fast disappearing right under our noses. To answer your question directly the child should be shipped home with the parent because illegal immigrants use that loophole to remain in the states without going through the proper legal channels. Allowing the parent(s) to remain here because of having a baby on american soil is rewarding an illegality. And keeping the child here while deporting the parent separates the child from the parent which is the worst of all options. They should not become legal citizens while thier parents are illegal just because they were born in a particular geographical location. If your parents are illegal immigrants that should make the child an illegal immigrant.

that is a very good question. they are the ones who are truly caught in the middle and there is no easy answer that will make everyone happy. i know i will get slaughtered with thumbs down on this one, but here goes. perhaps the parents of these children should have a background check to make sure they have not committed any heinous crimes and then if they have not and they have a job already they should be helped toward citizenship, for the sake of the children. they should be required to enroll in English classes and to make monthly payments to pay back the taxpayers for the birth of the child and education thus far. it is not a fair plan for those without children, nor is it fair to all those who have waited to become legal. however innocent children are caught in this mess we have made and they should not be the ones to suffer. then do away with the citizen by birth nonsense and seriously reform immigration and there will be fewer problems like this in the future.

Unfortunately children bron here become American Citizens. In other countries around the world, some of which I have lived. The parents get a passport from their home country for the child making them citizens on their parents home. I truly believe its time we changed our laws to do the same thing. being born here should no longer mean automatic citizenship for the child. Sounds cruel, but it will slow the flow of illegals some.

They should be considered citizens of the same country as their parents. To allow children to be used as tools for ones selves personal gain is wrong. To allow the "anchor babies" to be given citizenship upon birth gives the parents the right to stay, and the parents commited a criminal act by entering the U.S. illegally.

I have an answer many don't like: ILLEGAL Parents make Illegals Children. In My Opinion Children of Illegals should NOT be considerd US citizens. Illegals have exploited this loophole for Years hoping that an Anchor baby would secure there place here in the US. If we passed that law then we wouldn't have to worry about any children being seperated from there parents they would simply be deported right along with them as one big happy ILLEGAL family.

I think they should not be entitled to the benefits social assistance other Americans are unless their PARENTS are legal. Maybe they shouldn't even be considered "citizens" either. Why should the child of an illegal become magically legal because they were born here?

Go home to their mothers and fathers country
The anchor baby loop hole must be closed,it was never meant to be used and abused in that manner. It was to protect the slaves and free men from being sent back to Africa,to make them American citizens not to provide an anchor for illegals. It has been bastardized and need to be repealed. No amnesty
Deportation not legalization

Well, they should return to Mexico with their illegal parents, welcome to return at age 18. Or they should stay in the USA with legal US citizen guardians; they have that right.

The law should be changed so that no child born to an illegal immigrant is granted citizenship. That law pertained to children of slaves and we are way past that need.

Go back with their parents. Sadly, my children sometimes have to pay for my mistakes, that's part of being a parent. You have to know which decisions would be best for your children, and in this case they had no thoughts of their kids whatsoever or they wouldn't put them in that position.

Get deported along with their parents.... unless you want the State to take the children away from the parents.
