Why cinderella is spelled like it is..& not Sinderella..& why cat is spelled like it is & not Kat??..like Kite???Hmmm

I dont care why her name is cinderella...Im just using this as an example...when you spell sin you use an s..why not spell cinderella with an s...or quill like kwill...or queen like kween?? cat..why not kat??..like kite..so im not asking why her name is cinderella??it was all just a simple though to get rid of the alphabet..lol..

if we spell things the wai tha sound.

Just joking, and I don't know. "qu" as in queen sounds like "kw" so just ditch the letter q.

Spelling rules are insane; however, I think I might be able to give you an interesting take on Cinderella. I believe it was spelled this way because it had to do with a "cinder" (a tiny bit of buring wood) and something in the original story. Now...why cinder is spelled with a "c" and not an "s"...don't know. Sometimes, I think spellings with a "c" were just easier in the early days. (Can you imagine trying to create an "s" or a "k" with a quill? Just a thought.
