For some of them it is because they do not want other people to know that they are married. So they can play around.
For some of them it is because of there beliefs and how they choose to worship God.
Then you have the people that just can not afford them. But love each other and do not care about the rings.
Rings are only a outward show for the world to see. Not for the married couple. You should be able to tell if they are married by the way they act not by what is or is not on they finger.

One reason a man doesn't wear his wedding ring and may also be some women's reason, is that in working, you may get the ring caught in machinery. For example, MANY fingers have been pulled from a hand by a person jumping off something and the ring gets caught.
I slammed a car door, one time, and my ring got caught on the edge of the door. I had to look to see if my finger was still attached to my hand. Luckily it was. Another reason is they are still cruising and don't want it known that they are married. Pops

I never wear mine at work (general contractor). I had a friend that jumped out of the back of a truck and his ring got caught and ripped his finger off. He WAS a very talented guitar player. Some people (I'm sure) do it for the wrong reasons, but there are legitimate reasons for not wearing one.

Well alot of employers won't allow it for insurance purposes, I work in a large factory and no rings are alound even people in the office have to remove theirs also, the next thing is that they are really unhappy in their realationship. hope this helps

i sometimes forget mine, like if i do the dishes i take it off, & shower, today is actually the first day i have worn my wedding ring in weeks, certainly not coz i don`t want peeps 2 know i`m married.

Maybe they want to look single for some reason?
Maybe they find wearing a ring uncomfortable?
Maybe they don't like wearing jewelry?
Maybe they don't care about tradition?
Who knows, you can ask them!

It's possible their work would cause the ring to catch on something so they choose not to wear it.

It could be because of their job. My dad's an assembler and works with a lot of machinery so he doesn't wear it to avoid accidents.
I could also be because it doesn't fit anymore.

just do not need it ti symbolize my 11year marriage. Oh and a small diamond fell out again, so I don't want to lose it again!!!

some peple do not like jewellery. others are players, so do not want people knowing they are married.
