I have been cutting for seven years now. It has gotten to the point that I am getting stitches all the time and am severing tendons from cutting too deep. I have tried many diffrent types of teatment. I have seen numerous therapists and shrinks, I have done group therapy, CBT, DBT, lived in a residential treatment facility for 2 years, been hospitalized many times, and tried to do some work on my own. I really want/need to stop, but when that urge hits I can only hold off so long before it get overwhelming and I give in. What is left for me to try?

I Know for me the biggest key cam after I had kids. I knew I didn't want them to see this behavior. It didn't put a total stop to it but stemmed it. One thing that worked for me was an accountablity person. someone I trusted that I had to answer to everytime I cut or felt the urge to cut. It has been several years for me now but the urge does come time to time. now I tend to talk to someone before hand or I write(i write poetry). I has helped me that my husband instead of condeming me wanted to help and he became a person I could tell that I had the urges and became a partner in helping me prevent this behavior.

You have made great steps in knowing that you want to stop. that is great . to give up it can take a many tries before you get thre. when I look back I realise it took me more time than I would have liked to have become free of this.
good luck.

Maybe you should try going on a retreat. Maybe being with people dealing with the same things will help you, especially if they have overcome it. It's okay to be stressed, but knowing how to handle that stress is key. Seeing a therapist, though you've been before, out of town might be good as well. You need to find out what caused to cut in the first place, and if it's merely an addiction now. Then, find someone who can really help you. I'll pray for you.

u werent molested in the past were u ???
have u had hair analysis or allergy tests??
have u tried a thought field therapist??
dont eat yeast bread but take olive leaf extract
whether or not st johns wort will help as well as
evening primrose oil & fish oil
zinc from seaweed, kelp or pumpkin seeds will help
you must avoid any chemical product or animal cos they have too many parasites
but since u r involved with horses u must have olive leaf extract and strawberries every single day!!!!
u know u r a gift to ur parents, when the devil tempts u to harm urself or tempts u with suicide, think of God & the ones that love you. the devil wants us to be in misery, resist him , maybe read the Bible
try screaming therapy, scream into ur pillow, from a mountaintop, at the beach, into the wind, run & run & scream & scream, when u stop u may wish to cry. cry n cry and when u have had enuf of feeling the pain you must let it go and go do your bit for the world.
lotsa luv

Rid your life of anything that tempts you to cut. People that piss you off, or an overdramatic friend, or even sharp objects. You may feel like you need them, but its possible to adapt to life without it. Any time you feel the need to cut, do something else. I know thats what they all say, but it works. Its different for everyone, and you can find it if you actually look. I really hope you find a healthy alternitive. Cutting is good and bad. But you definitly shouldn't risk your life for it.

Well you can try and hold ice to your skin instead of cutting, or snap a rubber band agenst your skin, it leaves a mark but it will go away... plus it gives you that little rush of pain that you get from cutting. Some people also draw on their arms with red markers to show the cut without hurting themselves.

i used to cut, too. throw away the razor blades, knives, etc, to stop the temptation. Buy a punching bag. Pop a baloon. Go beat someone up (just kidding), but take your anger out on someone else other than yourself. Try to come in contact with your inner self. Learn to love yourself, and ignore what other people say to you or think about you.

Self-harm is heavily addictive. in certainty, in case you desire to end, then you certainly would desire to do what you're able to do with nicotine or once you're on a weight loss software. you will desire to shrink down untill your waiting to provide up totally. Say, you shrink 5 cases an afternoon. properly for here few days shrink in basic terms 4 cases, then 3, then 2 untill you're definately waiting. reducing isnt superb, it doesnt launch discomfort.. It in basic terms leaves nasty scars. as quickly as your finished reducing, the pains nonetheless there isnt it?. Im sorry approximately what you're dealing with, nevertheless. x
