Not enough liquid, or too much baking powder. I don't like those instant mixes. If you want really good pancakes, make them from scratch. Whole wheat are best of all.

Add more water & make sure you spread those pancakes on the pan so that it will be a bit thinner...

Your batter was to thick to begin with or you let the batter sit for awhile and it gets thicker. Remedy is to add more liquid..........

thr thick eh, u more water, put a little veg. oil in the pan & cook them on high.
