A credit card and state issued ID is required ... Some hotels will allow you to rent a room at 18, but most are 21 unless you are > 150+ from home - then they may allow 18. You need to call the hotel and ask their policy

Picture id is a must. You also need a credit card. If you give a debit card they will deduct the entrie stay from it immediately and then you can wait till they return any extra amount. If you pay cash they won't turn on the phone for fear you will run up a big phone bill and then leave without paying for it.

I am not sure what an individual hotel's age policy might be. Call and ask them before you go there.

Not sure what the laws are. I know that booking a hotel does require a valid credit card. I would call them and ask how old you have to be. I was 19 and got a room by myself. Don't know if they broke any laws letting me though, and there may be state laws, not just local ones. Call the hotel phone # where you are thinking of staying, no harm in that.

it depends on where you go some places you need a c.c. and you have to be 21 and some places you might only have to be 18and not need a credit card it depends on how nice the place the nicer the harder it is to get call around and find out.
