Have a look at what he is eating, a big culprit is PAL, it has a lot of caramel in it which causes gas. Also if he is eating any rotting old dead animals in the forest or stinking green bones that he digs up this will cause it.

If you are sure he hasn't worms and his diet is not the reason, I would try giving him charcoal tablets fromthe chemist. They are chemically inert and can't do any harm. If the dog is an average size (labrador, Rottie, German Shepherd &c) use the same dose as for a human adult, if the dog is tiny just give him one pill. This should fix him. Bear in mind that charcoal will give the stools a very black appearance so don't panic when that happens.

Whenever pets or people have an imbalance of the GOOD bacteria that live in the intestines, noxious fumes are the END result. Pun intended!:):) I would call the vet for advice regarding this first butt, there is something at the health food store called "Acidophilous" (may be spelled wrong) that will regulate the good flora in the intestines and dramatically cut down on the gas. It probably wouldn't hurt the dog since it is natural but check with the vet first, please. Also, a change in dog food may be another fix. There are different ingredients in different dog foods and one may have something that doesn't agree with your dog. Their systems, like ours, change with age. What worked before may not work now.

Read the label on his food. If yellow corn is the first ingredient, then you need to change foods. Feed a high quality dry dog food and NO table scraps. Some breeds are just more prone to stinkiness: Boxers, Bulldogs, Pugs... etc...

change his food, most dogs with sensitive stomachs need to go on to a premium food(nutro, james wellbeloved, burns etc) because if you read the ingrediants in the ones your giving him most of it is fillers or cereals which dogs having difficulty digesting, might seem expensive but check out how little food you will need on the premium and it works out to be pence per day difference compared to what your feeding now and you'll have less to pick up on walks as well which is always a good thing!!

I have a cat who I love dearly but she farts in my face every time I touch her. PEEWWWW! Perhaps she does not love me as much as I love her?? Try changing the diet. And don't make the mistake I once made with a dog and feed it beans!!! So not a good idea.

Try changing the food. If that doens't work then look into some treats that help reduce gas, or water treatments that you can put in the water daily or weekly. If all else fails put a car air freshener on his tail to help the smell. :)

I suggest you have the vet take a test for parasites/worms infestation in his gut.

Don't let him eat things other than what goes into his dish. Dogs and cats that have access to little creatures that carry all sorts of unhealthy things pass on those things to the dog or cat that ingests them.
