people should be treated as they treat others and animals. people that abuse animals are sick in the head and very weak minded. they abuse those who cant stand up for them selves which makes them even more pittyful. report abuse. someone needs to stand up for the weak.

Many cases of animal abuse occur because people are ignorant and do not know how to properly care for an animal. i believe that these people should be educated about proper animal care and that they should not be allowed to have a pet until they have taken a class on proper pet care. And as for those people that abuse animals purposely they should be sent to jail as well as fined.As for the man in Mexico he may be abusing an animal in our eyes, but we have to remember that he is part of a different culture. With different cultures come different delicacy's.

Some cultures think of the dog the same way that we think of a cow or deer. but abuse is different not taking care of an animal :food, shelter, health care,safety . Where I live USA Texas they have severe penalties for animal abuse If you are not afraid to file on someone if you see it But if you don't speak up Then it will go unpunished

Well..eating dogs isnt abuse no more it is then we eating cows. But the real abusers, I think should do some real time..they had to suffer through it, and never understood love. But it'll never happen..they'll just get a fine, and not be able to own an animal for awhile..or never.

Let the punishment fit the crime. Whatever the abuser does to the animal, let the same thing be done to them. I hate people who abuse helpless animals. In some countries it is customary to eat dogs, like we eat cows and pigs, but I don't think it is right.

However if you are talking about different cultures that eat them for food. It's not fair to critisize(sp?) them for that. Not everyone around the world eats mainly beef, chicken, and pork for their main meats. I love dogs so I would never eat one but I also don't agree with people eating lamb, as many around the world do. I don't call them animal abusers just because they eat it though.

They should have the same thing happen to them. It is so unfair because the poor animals can not speak up for themselves its up to us to help them. It makes me so angry to watch those animal cop shows and see people disregard these animals and get away with it on top of that! It should be taken more seriously and have a much higher consequence than probation come on!

An eye for an eye, you eat a dog... they should let dogs eat you! I heard about a guy that had his dog tied to his truck in the bed, and the dog fell out and was dragged by the truck... Tie his stupid butt up to a truck and drag him around! I hate people who do cruel things to animals!

I love animals, especially dogs. It makes me sick inside to think of what some people do. In China the chow chow was bred for eating. Yuck. I think that their karma will eventually catch up to these sick individuals that hurt animals or people. However, I believe in my heart that they should get punished for the crime against animal or human. The punishment should fit the crime.
