what is the best way to let go of someone you like so much who is your best friend (who doesn't feel the same way about you?)

I think everything that i still do for him (on a friend level) still makes him think that i still have feelings for him (which i still do) and i think its ruining what's left of our friendship.

he's moving to my uni campus next year so things are gonna get harder cuz i'm gonna see him more often.

is there anyway to break off my strong feelings for him without breaking the friendship? do we need to talk about it instead of giving hints and indirect talks?

Nothing "Clears the air" like a bit of clarity. Yeah talk to him, & tell him how much you value him as a friend.
I just hope that he's the kind of guy who can appreciate a true female friend. (Guys like that are rare)
As for "getting over him" there's no "cure" like drink a lot of green tea. or something like that. You are going to have to do that in your own way, & in your own time.

this is a difficult situation as it is so hard to remain friends after being lovers. The best thing for you is to sit down with him and have a talk about your feelings and find out where his feelings are at. If you find this to hard you can always write him a letter saying how much you care for him as a friend. At least this way each one of you will know where your heads are at.. good luck

You should really just have a talk to him about it to figure things out between you two. He could see where you're coming from and you could see where he's coming from as well. There'll be a better understanding between you.

Write him a letter telling him you care for him, but feel you need to move on. Then delete his phone number and do it. Good luck.
