Lots of countries have bombs pointed at the US... just like the US has bombs pointed at a lot of countries. You can sleep well at night knowing that China has for many years had the US on their target lists at their ICBM sites, just like the soviet union did, and really just about any nation with ICBMs would have the US targeted... it's not that they nessicarily intend to use locations on their targeting lists, just that they keep them in case the US descides to attack them... just like the US keeps just about everyone else on their lists.

Basically it all comes down to the reasoning that if everybody shows that they are prepaired to fight back, everyone will be afraid to start anything. Does it work? Not the way we'd want, but the system is in place and now everyone's afraid the world will get nuked to hell in a handbasket if they pick on the wrong country... that, btw, is why the US tries so hard to keep other nations from getting nukes or ICBMs of any sort...

North Korea say they have however their dictator leader is crazy and no one believes they have a missile that works well enough to hit the USA.

Russia used too, since the end of the cold war their nuclear capabilities have reduced a lot. There is the possibility they are still capable, but, it is doubtful.

China is definitely capable of doing so. Since we are supporting them it's very doubtful if they would as that would be like cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Our biggest fear should be of terrorist acquiring one and sneaking it into the US because they do not have a delivery system{ missile } capable of reaching. That why thinking Americans want our borders secured and better security at our ocean ports.

It was North Korea. They fired a test missile (with no explosives) at the U.S. to see if they needed to they could fire a missile at the U.S. a few weeks ago. They fired two, both fell into the sea of Japan. They fired another test missile at Japan in '98 I think. Right now Kim Jong Il is testing nuclear weapons in North Korea and it is making the international community freak out.

Think about a "Mexican Stand Off" with not just two crazy Banditos but dozens. Every one of them are screaming for nobody to move or they will shoot. That is sort of the situation that the world has been in since the 1960s. When you understand the concepts behind nuclear deterance it just gets worse. I hope nobody blinks!

edit; Nebai is giving you a part of it as well. The stand off is stable only so long as everybody is convinced that everybody else is crazy enough to launch if anybody moves. Scary.

I'm sure China and Russia both have missile pointed at the US and the US has missiles pointed at them.

I don't know if North Korea can reach US yet, but they have been trying if they can't.

Russia, and China both have nuclear missiles pointed at every major U.S. city, and military installation. All together it is in the thousands. There are enough nuclear weapons to destroy all life on earth many times over.

Korea for sure, from the recent news. I'm sure China also has a few pointed this way.

Well, think it out logically.

You have some nuclear bombs, and missiles that will reach anywhere in the world. You are concerned that the US might attack you, because you are a paranoid dictator.

Where would you point one or more of your nuclear missiles?

Korea doesn't have the technology to shoot something that big that far. Nobody wants to invade the united states that badly, don't worry so much.
