Eating a hamburger contributes to the destroying of cows, not rain forests.

if it is "rainforest beef" than YES!! They clear the rainforest to raise cows, which obviously destroys the rainforest as they clearcut to make the space for the cows. Lots of fast food places DO NOT buy rainforest beef...McDonalds is one of them. If you don't want to destroy the rainforest by eating beef then you need to find out who does and does not serve it and check where the beef that you are buying at the grocery store comes from.

Yes it is. As a vegetarian, I can say with facts that deforestation happens for more room for livestock (cows are bigger than you). Livestock are eaten, like in a hamburger. Therefore, yeah, you are destroying rainforests!
