they are people that absolutely have to have all the attention focused on them, if it is not they pout, get pissy, do mean things to other people to try and get everyone's attention focused on them again. these people suck

Attention whores are people who do things for the express purpose of getting any and everyone's attention. This is the girl who deliberately flirts with her best friend's boyfriend if she is at a party where she doesn't know anyone and doesn't have a date. It is the guy who loudly picks fights with people for no particular reason. It is the person who loudly announces to the entire office that there dog just won an award at the obedience class.

Attention whores are people who always have to be in the spot light and always have to have everyone look at them and pay attention to them! Signing up for homecoming queen does not make you one unless you always want people to notice you and make a big fuss about you.

I would define that as someone willing to do anything to get attention. And no wanting to be Homecoming Queen doesn't apply.

you do anything to get attention. interrupt ppl when they talk. always have a story to tell. you are loud. yeah homecoming queen thing. um the difference is you are not doing all of that 2 get GUY attention.

This is a person that thrives on receiving attention no matter what the costs. Positive or negative, it doesn't matter. Usually someone that is mellow-dramatic. Mostly emotional behind the smallest situation.
