I admire those who are able to be truly devoted and "alone with God" even though they are in a group setting like church. But I'm not really able to do that. I'm too self-conscious. What about you?

One of the many reasons why I dont believe in religion is the fact that some relgions put so much empasis on group worship and following the flock...I am too much of an individual to be roped in and giuded like a herd animal.

Yes, and I have come to the point where I realize that it's up to me to figure him out personally, since no one has ever had acceptable ansawers to my questions. For me, being in a grouop served no purpose other than confusing me even more about the nature of God.

If you are not ashamed of God, He will not be ashamed of you. Jesus did not die on the cross in a hidden location. He died on the cross on the top of a mountain where everyone can see what He was doing. Show Him the same respect and rid yourself of your self consious feelings.. God loves you so very much.

it's easier if you discipline yourself to close your eyes. Then you can get lost in worship
