It took me a year to lose 35 lbs.; how much difference would it make on my body (I still need to lose a lot more weight...like 80 lbs. more)?

A HUGE difference. Way to go on your loss. keep at it. You've made a huge difference in your heart risks, diabetes risk and joint diseases.

Well, the more weight you lose the more energy you'll have to lose more. Do go over board and lose too much. Eat with a healthy diet. Go for a jog in the morning. It's that simple!
