What defines the word love in a relationship? This girl had asked me if I was infatuated or in love with her and I didn't know how or what to answer. We are very initmate and have known each other for a month and are dating exclusively.

Love is an emotion, sex is a feeling. That's why you couldn't answer. You're not into her as she is into you. Intimacy is involved yet not understood. We can heal and strengthen ourselves during our conscious sexual activity, but we must know what we are doing and why.

You are infatuated. There is no way that you can know someone well enough in a month to actually LOVE them! Anyone that tells you different doesn't know the difference between the two either.

If you guys are having sex that is only going to complicate the issue because as much as the "progressives" would like to believe it, sex and love are very closely attached. You will probably assume that the feelings of intimacy are love when they are not.

If you ask 100 people who have issues with trust, or marriage, or women who lost interest in sex after marriage, I will almost guarantee you that the vast majority were sexually active BEFORE they were "in love"

Sorry, don't think a month is long enough to know if you are really in love. Attracted, yes. Infatuated, yes. Strong like, yes. But not LOVE yet. Give it time, as the feeling of like to love grows slowly.
Being physically intimate will also get you both all mixed up.
Try to do more fun things and spend more time talking and sharing ideas etc etc. without the intimacy every time.

I agree with honey. If you have to ask then it isn't love because when it is love you know it with zero doubt. In most cases one month is a bit early anyway. However, I knew within the first couple of days that I was in love with my husband. By day two I knew we'd end up married. So, it can happen quick but if it does you won't have to ask.

i think it takes longer than a month to know youre in love. girls just have a tendency to want to have the guy love her and want to hear it as quickly as possible. just wait to say it when you know youll mean it. feeling in love is just really great. you cant stop thinking about the other person and everything reminds you of them. its like you cant get them out of your head as hard as you may try. its just a feeling of not wanting to be without the other. it makes your day to see him/her and u look forward to talking to them. its just so many feelings that take over you. if you havent felt that yet then dont tell ur girlfriend that. could just tell her that you really like her, or give her an honest answer.

infatuated to me is she may think you just like the sex part. being in love some find and feel it right off the bat and for some love grows in time to me and for me i can tell by the kiss if its going to go there or not or by the way I feel when he touches me or hold me and if it's real love you will long for them even when there gone to work. passion is where love's at

Hmm, well, love takes time to fully understand, I mean, hey, I've been in a realationship for about 8 months now...and I admit to him that I was in love with him within...two or three months into the relationship.
But when you're in love, it's like, you see her and no other girl.
You worry too much about how she's doing, you wonder a lot about how your future with her is going to go.
You'll know when. ^_^
Good luck!

You're not in love. You wouldn't have to ask this question if you were. Don't feel pressured to tell someone you love them if you don't 'feel' it.
