Wow. That is truly unbelievable. What did you even say?

You are way too ghetto talking like that. And it doesn't matter what color you are.

Well, I think that you should stay in school, if you have dropped out, please find a way to get back into school, your grammar and spelling needs it desperately!

Not every "black" or "white" or "hispanic" person has to like the TV shows that are on air dedicated to that particular race. Not only that but, you have generalized one particular catagory. Whites, hispanics and orientals shoot each other, sometimes they also shoot members of the other race. White and hispanics can be the same as what you are describing for "blacks" in the ghetto, in fact I have seen some "white" people worse than anyone from the "black" ghetto in my city and I live in Indy. And to sit there and call out the black race and say that they all have attitudes is just wrong. Look at how you have stereotyped your own race. It is because of continuously being stereotyped that the "black" race has an attitude.

Music Group "Black Eyed Peas" performs a song that if we all listened to the meaning instead of the beat, would make the world a half way decent place. Listen to the song and watch the video to "where is the Love?"...I think you can find a meaning there.

I hope that you take heed from all the posts to this question, and can learn from what everyone is saying to you here in this forum.

First off, I am mostly white. The rest is Native People. While working at a major oil well logging company in Houston I came across a young black man wearing sunglasses indoors. When I quizzed him he said he wore them to protect his yes from the white man. Stunned, I asked further. His attitude was that the white race had taken everything from the black race but their eyes. At the end of our discussion I told him what I am telling you.
You must be black to be a ni**er but you do not have to be a ni**er just because you are black. Bill Cosby, Dr. Martin L. King,Gen. Colin Powell, George Carver Washington, Ms. Rosa Parks,Mrs. King, Oprah Winfrey and others are heros to be emulated(copied), not avoided like you are doing. Re think your position. Prove you are another copy of MLK.
Vaya con DIOS

PS; Gen Colin Powell was born and raised in the ghetto and look at him now!!!!!

I think the term "racist" is being used way too much these days - people throw it around too much

No I don't think you're racist but I would suggest you look at blacks in a different light - you're only looking at the negatives. And all races have their negative sides.

Unfortunately we cannot change our race (I'm Japanese and have to live with all the assumptions around that - I'm good with computers, I only eat raw fish, etc) but we can learn more about our cultural past to at least appreciate who and where we came from.

Also, it may be a fact today that many low income neighborhoods are mainly black, but this government and culture helped make this a fact - the black people didn't do this by themselves.

Cosby tries to give an upbeat example to blacks, so that they will know that not all blacks are nasty ghetto types.
Everyone is different. How many people and families improved their lives, like your friend and her family, and how many stayed down there?

I don't think you need to be ashamed of your race. You need to be ashamed of those people within your race who are poor role models. You can find positive role models to be proud of if you look. What about Condi Rice, Colin Powell, and Tiger Woods? If you can't find a role model that inspires you, then YOU are the role model. Live the life YOU think a positive role model should be living.

By the way, I can actually understand what you wrote. I get txt msgs from my teen all the time.

thats not racist. its true many black people live in the ghetto and true that many whites and latinos do also. its not discrimination is just a fact. fair enough if you're not proud of that but all races have their lower classes and its something we should all be ashamed of.

btw im white and i like cosby hes hilarious

I dont know what the other people r talking about, they just cant read slang. But theres nothing wrong with wat u said to ur friend, ur just speaking ur mind, thats all. If she wont accept that, then I guess she really isnt a good friend. So there was nothing wrong with u telling her what ur opinion was on ur race. But then again, u should atleast try and better urself so that u can help out others who r misfortuned and such so that they can be happy and content. But if this really doesnt help u, thanx 4 the 2 points...BOO-YA!!
