I don't have a web link. At the San Francisco SPCA where I volunteered as a cat behaviorist and adoption counselor we had a litter of three female orange kittens.

Most ginger cats are male. There is a 75-25% chance of male to female ratio. As you know that's just statistics - many families have four girls and no boys. Or that many boys and no girls. That's always a 50-50% chance. So it's a genetic role of the dice for the ginger cats.

Sorry, no web links. I had a female long-haired ginger cat for 16 years. Most of her sibs were ginger -- it's not as common to have a female ginger, but it's not so rare as to rate Guiness.

We are the proud and happy owners of six orange tabby cats (ginger cats) named Tigger, Pumpkin, Smudge, Fuzzball, Scampi and Emily.

Yep, Emily.

She is just delightful ... and she is most definitely a female. You can see pictures of her on my Yahoo 360 page. While most orange tabbies are male, a small percentage (about 20% I am told) are female.
