KILZ it's a cover paint and it stops the paint from bleeding through. They sell it all home improvement stores like Home Depot.
depending tho, you might have to apply 1-3 coats.

I've seen a number of people recommend KILZ primer and, to be honest, I would not use it for your particular application. KILZ is used to cover such things as water stains and knots in wood that tend to bleed through when you paint them. Your best bet would be to go to the local paint store and get a good quality latex primer and put on two coats to cover the old paint. You may even be able to get the primer tinted to half the formula of the finish paint color. After the primer dries for 24 hours, then paint over with a good quality flat or satin finish paint. This might need 2 coats as well but you should get a great finish.

First of all do not use Kilz. it is about $35 dollars a gallon here in Canada and is only white pigmented shellac... which means that it is a stain killer not a good covering paint.. I would suggest going to a proper paint store and paying for a good quality oil based primer if you don't mind the smell.. if odor is a concern then a good quality latex primer will do almost as good.. follow either of the above suggestions with two full coats of finish coat [which is the color you have chosen] and that should do the trick..

You definately need to apply a good primer. The best, but most expensive is Kilz. This will block stains or colors from bleeding through. If the colors are really dark, you may need to apply a couple of coats.

there's a sealing paint observed as Kilz, as pronounced by utilising the answerer above. that's easily heinous stuff, and lead based. in case you place on one coat (and sleep someplace else) letting it dry *thoroughly*... Then stick to yet another coat in the comparable way, not something will instruct or bleed. in case you do in contrast to lead, you additionally can seal it with an teeth - yet once you decide on something else to adhere to it you will would desire to get a non-gloss... not person-friendly to discover, and likewise heinous, use the comparable approach... yet once you utilize the teeth you may choose 3 coats. do it in ineffective white. wait a week to be sure there isn't any bleed earlier portray with something.

Use base primer sealer first , it is a lot cheaper than multiple coats of paint.
