Many have already said it but I want to add my voice --Israel is a wonderful place and safer than most citys in the world.
I went in 2003 during the last intifada and was treated very well by ALL the people.
Tel Aviv is a busy city with wonderful beaches. From the night life to swimming with Dolphins you will not be bored.
Haifa was my favorite city on the sea but then--I loved everything about Israel and would go right now if I could.
40 miles from me a kid walked into school and killed his principal--so just because the news only focus's on the conflict--the reality is complete safty is not possible anywhere and Israel is safer than any US major city.

Tel Aviv (and most Israeli cities) are not good tourist destination. Angry soldiers everywhere, rockets and suicide bombs may explode at any time (even at bars and buses). I saw an explosion in a bus on a street near my hotel(Tel Aviv), so terrible.
Most of previous comment seem to be from Israeli resident. they have campaign to promote their country as safe -despite the fact that Tel Aviv is one of the deadliest city in the world. I am wondering if Tel Aviv city are campaigning that the city is similar to new york-when i was there there was no such campaign

Tel Aviv, like New York, is a city that never sleeps, and has miles of golden beaches. I go there twice yearly, and am going on 18 October.
No, it is definitely not dangerous; you are far safer there than in London or any major UK city. Go there, and you'll be hooked, but avoid July and August, as it is too hot. The best months to go are May and October, and the worst are December, January and February (the rainy season). Enjoy!

Tel Aviv is a city like NY with beautiful beaches, amazing night life and really good food.
I live in Israel (moved here from the USA) and its not dangerous. It's as safe as any other place in the worlds these days.
I hope you come to visit our county and enjoy yourself its a trip you will never forget.

Tel Aviv is not really dangerous, but you're not going to be danger free anywhere in Israel. If you stick to the touristy areas, you should be fine, though.

Tel Aviv has a beautiful beach. It is known for it's nightlife, and the young people out for fun.
I was in Israel last April...................felt as safe there as anyplace. I roamed the old city of Jerusalem alone----and never had the first problem.
If money allowed it now----I'd go tomorrow to Israel.

it may be solid so which you will pass to Israel now. Israel heavily isn't wiped off the map, like the Arab Moslems could like. it is definitely extra secure in Israel than it is in many super cities interior the U. S.. i could recommend you touch Birthright. because you have never been, you may qualify for a unfastened fee ticket. because you have anger subject concerns, that's sparkling by your call, you're pleasantly shocked - actually, take alot of bags - going to Israel is extra effective than a visit - it is Paradise. you will no longer prefer to pass away as quickly as you arrive.
