Elevevated b -alanine, elevated alanine, eleveated b-12, elevated ammonia, elevated alk phosphate, elevated neuts, elevated lactate, low lymphs, low glucose, low chloride, high histidine, and high taurine. History of global delays and hypotonia. Would appreciate it if anyone could help make sense of the above referenced lab results.

I assume you got the lab results from the doctor who ordered the lab work. So why haven't you asked the doctor?

go to www.medlineplus.gov there is a link on there cannot remember exactly but look for lab test results. great site. i have a dd child.

also the cdc has some great info for newly dx or diagnosed parents. www.cdc.gov and the look for the arc of the united states. dd is the new pc term for mental retardation.

my child is now in the last year of spec ed.

see developmental disabilites info on the cdc site. for spec ed info you child is eligible for early intervention preschool. therapy is in the schools. go to www.nichcy.org for all your special ed info.

they have info for you state resources start networking from there. go to your school dist spec ed dept and get going for EI or early intervention.

you have stepped into a whole new world. i pray for you to have much patience, knowledge and understanding. you will become a lot smarted and stronger than you ever imagined.

you will also be blessed in many ways. you will know unconditional love like you cannot imagine.
