Well that sucks... How long have you two been together? You may have said it too soon. And why did you feel it necessary to tell him? Has he been treating you like gold and showing you affection? Do you guys spend lots of time together and have a deep connection? Or maybe you caught him off guard and he needs some time to figure out how he feels. I usually wait for the guy to say "I love you" first since they are usually the ones who are slower to develope that feeling or at least to admit to themselves that they love you. I've been dating my b'f for 8 months and we still haven't exchanged "I love you's". Every relationship is different and it may take some longer to feel that love. I would give him a little space and wait for him to come to you. If he acts like you never said it, maybe wait a week or two and ask him how he feels for you and say it's alright if he isn't in love just yet. Good luck

If he at least likes you alot...and you 2 continue to go out....NEVER mention that word again! Ever. He may be "growing" into love, but not quite there yet. Give it time and you may one day hear the L word from him!
