A little appreciation goes a LONG way. I work my butt off to make him rich and all I get is more work. Any suggestions?

Boy howdy doesn't appreciation go a long way? But guess what? You might have that boss that just doesn't get it. I too have the same problem. You might have to start appreciating yourself and not depend on your boss to give you affirmations. It just isn't going to happen. So buy yourself flowers and put them on your desk... and know that you are doing your job better than anyone else ever has... and whether or not your boss actually says anything... don't worry about it!!! YOU know you're good!

I have the kind of arrogant bosses that puts people down to affirm his own self worth. I recommend that you do work that you can respect at the end of the day and care very little about your boss. If your happiness is dependent on those around your you can never truly be happy.

Yes, I do have a very serious answer. Look for another job! You will never get a pat on the back or a thank you or anything else from a person like that. I know, I have a boss exactly like yours! The company I work for does not push for thanks or anything like that. We are, undoubtedly just a number in the clock! Forget about it. Thanks does go a long way!!! Move on with your life, you can do better.

Give him a reason to appreciate u, u know flowers, comin to work early, sucking up etc..
