Jehovah's Witnesses teach that no salvation occurs without Christ, that accepting Christ's sacrifice is a requirement for true worship, that every prayer must acknowledge Christ, that Christ is the King of God's Kingdom, that Christ is the head of the Christian congregation, that Christ is immortal and above every creature, even that Christ was the 'master worker' in creating the universe!

Even so, the bible most closely associates being "Christian" with PREACHING about Christ and Christ's teachings. Review all three times the bible uses the term "Christian" and note that the context connects the term with:
"declaring the good news"
'teaching quite a crowd'
'open eyes, turn from dark to light'
"uttering sayings of truth"
"persuade"
"keep on glorifying"

(Acts 11:20-26) [The early disciples of Jesus] began talking to the Greek-speaking people, declaring the good news of the Lord Jesus... and taught quite a crowd, and it was first in Antioch that the disciples were by divine providence called Christians.

(Acts 26:17-28) [Jesus said to Paul] I am sending you, to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God... Paul said: “I am not going mad, Your Excellency Festus, but I am uttering sayings of truth and of soundness of mind. ...Do you, King Agrippa, believe the Prophets? I know you believe.” But Agrippa said to Paul: “In a short time you would persuade me to become a Christian.”

(1 Peter 4:14-16) If you are being reproached for the name of Christ, you are happy... But if he suffers as a Christian, let him not feel shame, but let him keep on glorifying God in this name

Sadly, so-called "Christians" try to hijack the term "Christian" and hide its Scriptural implications. Yet, the preaching work makes it clear that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are by far the most prominent followers of Christ:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded

House of Yahweh
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
The House of Yahweh is an established non-profit religious organization based in Abilene, Texas and officially recognized by Canada and Israel as a legitimate religion.[citation needed] The Pastor and Overseer over The House of Yahweh is Yisrayl (Israel) Hawkins (born Buffalo Bill Hawkins), who is a prolific author and speaker. The HoY is not exclusive but claims membership of all races from nations all over the globe welcoming all, they say, who will repent of sin and follow Yahweh's Law. The House of Yahweh should not be confused or associated with other groups that use the name of Yahweh such as The Assemblies of Yahweh, The Nation of Yahweh or others (some, but not all of which are militant and subversive).

I had met someone from one of these kind of groups and it was a difficult experiance. From what I understood (and he may differ from others) he believed in a rather legalistic interpretation of an old testament name. To him the key to salvation was believing this one true name. Which I found knd of interesting since we were only given for letters YHWY. No one know's for certain what this name is but many people have thought Yahweh. Any how our salvation isn't in simply believing in the corrext name but the person. There was a whole lot of issues this person I spoke with in a chat room had and it made it difficult to have a conversation. Every time someone would say God he would chime in God is Baal. and try to give some correct rendering. This person also made alot of nasty comments about Catholi priests, and although I am not Catholic I found myself defending them, which brought him to accusing me of being a Jesuit spy. Needless to say this was the type of mentality I dealt with, which I can't say for sure is an accurate reflection of what they believe. I would only suggest this that our salvation is through grace and believing in the death and resurrectin of Jesus not by figuring out a name puzzle. Hope this helped. To make things wose others started coming and fighting about which was the correct rendering of the true spelling of the only name.

I looked at that link too and I was going to send them a letter asking them if they knew that the actual Hebrew letters are Yod Hey Vav Hey and that there is no letter "W" in the Hebrew alphabet, but they didn't have an option to send mail. I believe in the living God of Heaven and his Son Jesus (Yeshua) Christ (Meshiach)

Whenever you run across people who make a big deal about the actual name of God you should be very careful because that type of belief borders on spell casting where if a person knows the right words they can access supernatural power here on earth.

Their are many names for God because their are many different languages. Yahweh is Hebrew name for God.
Jehovah is the accepted English pronouncement.
Dahova is Spanish. Some translate his name in Arabic as Allah.
Because that is the name they use for God.
It means the Almighty God the creator of us all.

Dear friend, Yahweh is one of the names that God is called. It is in the Old Testament and came from the Hebrew religion. Not a new cult or anything like that. God is also called "I AM" by His own statement. "I am that I am."and El Shaddah (May not be spelling that correctly). I AM means he didn't used to be, he is not in the past, he is always, here, now. God has no timespan. No one knows what the length of a day is to God.

There is a religion with this name. They have a Bible translation where they have translated the tetragramatin (God's name in 4 Hebrew letters) as Yahweh and Jesus' name as Yeshua. Other than that I don't know much about the religion itself.

House of Yahweh is a cult of Christianity, led by Yisrayl Hawkins. They have some pretty strange teachings...

I don't believe that this organization is from God...

This is an edit, my original post was in error.

"Jehovah" is a made up word that uses the consonants for JHVH (the same as YHWH) and the vowels sounds from "Adonai" which means Lord. Hebrew has no vowels and no good Jew would say the name of God, Yahweh. So in translating, some confused the two words.

If you are naive enough to ask this question, you are a prime target for cults like the House of Yahweh. Caution: Cults are much easier to enter than they are to leave.
