Report the auction to eBay. Technically, it has a few violations in it. The auction mentions that the seller will donate 10% to the charity of the winning bidder's choice. It is against eBay policy to run unofficial charity auctions on eBay. Report it to them, and they will pull the auction.

The guy probably isn't a member of the AF. The military services offer very generous tuition assistance to members who want to go to school while on active duty. There are also programs available specifically for members who want to attend medical school and law school. They require a college degree and selection for a commissioning program, but the med/law school is fully paid for.

This guy is just an idiot trying to sucker some fool into paying 300 g's for a doll.

He is not breaking the law, by selling the doll, but probably breaking the law by saying he is in the military when he is not. If he could have a free ride to law school using the DoD ACS program, why would he need $300k? This guy is a fake.

I'm a Vet. as well. I don't see any harm in it. If someone is stupid enough too pay $300,000 for a frickin Elmo than so be it. You know that old saying "A fool and his money will soon part". I don't think he was trying to dis the military. I think he just wants to go to law school. (Like all we need is another damn lawyer)

Nothing wrong with it friend. If he gets it he's going to college. Ever have a dream of doing something you think is great and have nothing but roadblocks in your way?. I'm a vet also and I've been there. He knows what he wants to do and he's looking for a way to do it. Good for him. Over ten years in the Air Force and my family still qualified for WIC (women infants and children) assistance in Maryland. That was sad. Let him be.

It just like saying you can't fund raise based on race. If someone got money like that, maybe I going to start advetizing the fact that I am a marine and get rich fast. Don't hate is all I can say.

He's not breaking the law, if you can sell a potato chip on ebay or Bratt Pitts fingernail clippings, he can sell Elmo. Whether he gets the money is questionable. and if he get's it, he will get his dream and why not?!
