When I right click on an icon , how do I add more choices to the Send To Menu? When I right click on my Startup folder, why does it show nothing, but in Help & Support, in Advanced System Info, there are so many listings it is ridiculous? I have Hidden Files checked so that I can see them. I did not check System files. Will that expose the contents of the Startup Folder?

Mark B: I know how to get to the startup folder, what I asked was when I r click on it, nothing comes up. But when I bring uprunning applications in Advanced Sys Info, there are tons of things showing up. What do I have to do to get them to show up in the folder? You did not answer the question I asked. Please do. I need help.

The problem is that you're asking a really complicated question with an even more complicated answer. The next problem is that fixing the problem can cause worse problems, ie. right now your computer is slow. If you 'fix' it without knowing exactly what you're doing, your computer could crash and die. Make sure you know how to back up everything and reboot the computer in safemode or with a boot disk so you can put the backups back. Even then, you won't be entirely safe.

Okay, that said, I think you're looking for the information in this site:

There are a few different ways to make programs start when your computer boots. Very few of them are in your startup folder. Once you find the filenames or processes, you might want to check a website like these ones:
http://www.answersthatwork.com/Tasklist_pages/tasklist.htm
http://startup.networktechs.com/srch-NTSF%20MICROSOFT%20SYSTEM.html
to find out what the programs are doing and advice on if they can be turned off.

Happy hunting and good luck.

If you have Windows XP, it will look like this:
C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAMEHERE%\SendTo

If you want to expose contents of the StartUp folder you can go to
C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAMEHERE%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

If your really brave and want to know where the special location for all Windows folders is at you can open up the registry (regedit) and navigate to the following but be careful, don't make any changes when using regedit!!!!: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders

The has been taking place to me for over every week. Attempts to touch Yahoo for a rationale why have got 0 reaction. I discover Yahoo's "Customer Care" method misnamed and nearly nugatory. Does Google's gmail have equivalent disorders?
