Excersize always helps with me. Accomplishing something I've been meaning to do for a while. Getting together with some mates and having a laugh. If I'm feeling low I usually try to get in all the above in a day or two and by the end of it I feel fabulous again!
Also, it might help to find out what is getting you down in the first place.

What do I do when I'm feeling low? Ha! That's a good one! Listen, I am a long time recovering depressive, and for me it's always a struggle to maintain a good attitude. I have found what works for me, and maybe it'll help you too- I grab a pen and paper and write down what (and why) it was that put me in such a mood. I'm a bit of a novelist so I force myself to keep the reason(s) brief and specific. Then I grab my fishing tackle and spend a few hours at my favorite water hole. (I avoid music and other forms of entertainment media while fishing) This tends to clear my mind so when I return home I can have a fresh perspective as I review the paper I wrote(previously mentioned) This works for me every time!

Wow! Emma
from now on, I`ll just have a look at your picture and pretend I am young and living in Ipswich again.
You are gorgeous.

Try getting out of Suffolk if only for a weekend. I lived in Ipswich a long time ago and I really missed the hills.
If not, take a walk in Christchurch park. Do they still have the funfair on bonfire night?

You have made me happy tonight with memories of 20 years ago. I wish I could do the same for you. Loved the music BTW

this is simple..... first try to think about what is causing you to feel this way.....

This sounds stupid but draw a picture or write a story it will totally distract from the pain.

Call an old friend. Play catch up and involve yourself in a story about someone else's hurt.

Eat chocolate. Chocolate has been medically proven to give ((especially women)) the happy feelings of love and sexual pleasure.

Lay off the caffiene.

Go get a massage. This loosens up the tenison in your body and helps you to relax.

e-mail me if you need any more advice.

Hello Emma!
Why would someone feel low? Most likely because has not succeeded in something strongly wishing to be accomplished. And this could most likely be relative to social life!
Thus, call a friend, make the moves to make new friends!
What I would do is to find the letter of Epicurus to Menoekeus and read it!

Call or visit a friend...go out for a walk...rent a funny movie, pop some popcorn or better invite a friend over or go to a movie with them. You do not need a kick in the ar** you just need a hand up! Here's to better days!

Be with friends and LAUGH ...(!) go to a comedy club with friends, a brilliant way to cheer yourself up.

Always remember that there are loads of people out there in a worse position than yourself: although you may get depressed about a certain subject, always remember you've got so much to be happy about.

You only live life once, make the most of it!!
