Frizziness is often caused by extremely dry hair (by blow-drying with no hair products or if your hair is naturally dry) or using a brush instead of comb because it can break the hair.

Depending what type of hair you have. If you want a straight look, use whatever styling techniques you usually use or none (if you don't use any) when the hair is damp, add a shine-serum or smoothing lotion and finish it off by blow-dry it straight using a round brush or a special comb used for straight hair. Using a brush is an exception for this case.
If you want a more sleek look... you can use a hair straightener to get rid more of the frizz afterwards... the more expensive it is, the better

If you have wavy/curly hair like me... it would be best to avoid blow-drying as this takes away the moisture. Add mousse or gel that is alcohol free followed by a shine-serum or smoothing lotion for curly hair, style it by scrunching or let it as it is... and let it air dry. Try using a moisturizing conditioner. If you want you can deep condition your hair once a week.

Also you should get a trim once a while for a cleaner look

Bend over and brush your hair from underneath to distribute the oils under there more and to massage your scalp. When my hair was really long it would be fine on top and frizzy towards the ends until I started just washing my head and not all my hair. You can also put some conditioning product on it and use a hair straghtener.

Use cold water when washing your hair, not freezing, but alittle colder then luke warm water. That helps a lot, i recomemend going to bed with wet hair so its dry by moring. Invest in huge rollers the velet kind when you g\do you hair, by taking some shine-erum to that hair then drying it with a dryer (not too much) it will smothe it out, then if you want curly hair curl it or use a striaghtener. However I recomend getting a hot tool spray (i can't think of the name). It will say for ceramic irons, it's a mist to use to help prevent more damage when using heat on the hair, also will help keep it healthy.

If you have temperature adjustments on the tools don't go to the highest setting a medium or middle setting should be find.

Also if your worrid about damage there are products on the market for the ends of your hair to help prevent further damage from heat.

My hair is naturally curly and down past my waist. I use Fructise to keep it from getting frizzy when I don't curl it, and use products with silicone in them when I'm trying to get it really smooth. Blow it dry with a large diameter round brush.

Condition. It is important to moisturize your hair. Also do not wash it everyday, it will dry out your hair which can result to frizz. Allow your natural oils to saturate into your hair and brush downwards from the scalp on a regular basis. Trim your hair every three months to avoid split ends.

use heavy duty conditioner..... Shower at night, hour or so before bed if possible.... Right before yu sleep, comb it out.... then in the morning, comb it out with s good brush... not one of those evil kinds that makes any hair frizzy.... also, try suave, extra body Shampoo and conditioner..

Use smoother after you blowdry.
I suggest 'Bedhead' from Tigi.
