You probably did a shotty job on it. I'm a groomer myself, it also depends on the dogs furr, most dogs these days when are young get their furr cut off real short so it gros in real thick and grimy and will stay that way till the pass on. Either way if it's uneven and growing in all different lengths you wernt using either a clean blade or a old blade that needs to be replaced or sharpend, In any case hun leave to the professionals if you want a quality job done, or go take a few lessons from one, im alwas teaching peopl to groom their dogs properly at home so they dont have to come in so often. Thats what we are here for.

1st off Never clip a dirty dog. You ruin blades that way.
Some hair is more course while other is fine....this could be the difference in the way its growing back.
You could rebath your dog & go over total dog again(do not let the blades get hot on your dogs skin)...or carry to a Progroomer to straighten it up.
Hey, at least you tried!
