"Anything you catch in the sea is lawful for you, and all food from it, for your enjoyment and that of travellers… (Qur'an, 5:96)"

This webpage claims Mohammad knew that "fish are a vauble source of nutrition", and somehow this is a "scientific miracle"

People had been eating fish for at least..umm..maybe 10 years before Mohammad came along with his Koran

(hahahah)

WHERE IS THE MIRACLE IN THIS?

Thing is, as per your quatation, shell fish like clams and crab or lobster are lawful food for muslims. However, the Law of Shari'a is largely derived from Mosaic law, and to Jews, the only lawful seafood is scaly fish. no clams, no lobster, no eel... So this does show some new revelation made to Muhammad which was not made to Moses.

I believe that Qur'an is mirculous but this verse doesn't say wht the authors are trying to prove..some people just over estimate things more than they do.
