Use the tea if that suits you, but having done this, I found that squeezing a lemon and letting small drops fall here and there on the paper and then place it in a hot oven just long enough to let it turn colour to a convincing shade of brown. Not too much or it will become impossibly brittle. It is the acid in the manufacture of paper that turns it brown and makes it brittle. Cheap paper (paperback books) turns more quickly. Even very old books, if done on good quality paper, are very little affected by age.

I have done this for a school project. What you need to do is:
1. crumple the paper
2. get a tea bag, soak it and wipe it all over the paper
3. put the paper in the oven to dry it and lock in that yellowish olden look
4. scald the edges either with a match - very hard to control. or with one of those cigarette lighters in the car - easier to control and voila you have your olden paper!

this works IF you do it before printing on it. Make a very very weak tea.( Iike one tea bag in one pint of warm water) soak the paper, the idea is to get it uniformly discolored and the fibers broken down. Dry and then use to print script , whatever.

you can stain it with tea, tear the edges lightly and the burn the edges just a Little. I hope that helps. You could also wrinkle the paper and the iron it out, to add to the look.

take a few black teabags and brew some really strong tea and soak the paper in the tea for a bit until it's the color your looking for and let dry. you can cumple the paper and burn the edges when it dries depending on the look your going for.

Lemon juice wiped on it, baked in the oven at 200 degrees for 15 minutes. Removed and ironed with starch, and dryer lint.

You soak it in coffee after you tear some of the edges. When its dry it will be discolored and hard. Then you can burn some of the edges if you want.
Oh write on it first!!!!!! then make it look older.
