Manifest destiny was the idea that american imperialism/ expansionism was in accordance with some divine plan. A banana republic is the term used to describe a puppet government installed via the influence of another outside agency with the purpose of satisfying the political, economic, and/or military aims of that agency.

American history was built on a chronological record of significant events, each event having a cause and subsequent effect on another event. Manifest Destiny is an intangible ideology that created American history. In its simplest form, Manifest Destiny can be defined as, "A Movement." More specifically, it would be the systematic body of concepts and beliefs that powered American life and American culture.

Banana Republics are international locations of small importance that is financial system is established round agriculture. Costa Rica, Paraguay, and many others. are examples of Banana Republics.

Manifest Destiny was a concept that the white man destiny was to rule the land of the Indians( for their own good of course) and a Banana Republic is one that claims they have many freedoms but in truth have very few.
