i have a 350d and the setting to do the auto cmos cleaning isnt avalible for some reason any ideas?

the 350d rebel xt has the cmos cleaning to get to it you have to set the camera to any setting other then the basics like p-tv-av-m etc then you can get to the cleaning or advanced settings the manual seems to forget to mention that.

As far as I know, the 350D does not have auto sensor cleaning.
It must be done manually.
Its in the Setup Menu 2...
Scroll down till you get to...Sensor Cleaning...Select OK to flip up the mirror and open the shutter to allow you to clean the sensor. Power Off once done.
The new 400D features the much better...'EOS Integrated Cleaning System'.

I don't think you set anything, it just operates on it's own...?
