We got a Golden Retriever puppy during the summer and I picked out the name Sapphire. Even though she isn't blue (haha), I just loved that name. So then everyone kept asking us why we named her Sapphire, and my mom was talking to someone and they said there actually is a golden colored sapphire stone out there. Kinda interesting....

I give my pets human names. It's different and a great conversation piece- for example my last three dogs have been - zoe , max and kevin. Some of my faves are Bruce, Dennis, Graham and julie for a girl. Think about it.
