"Man is just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his “divine spiritual and intellectual development,” has become the most vicious animal of all! "

we read about that in time magazine this week about how the DNA of the human has this coding for a larger brain then the other animals that we have a common ancestor with, like the chimpanzee

so thats why we are pretty cool and dominate the earth

I don't agree. Men have a conscience and although they often vioalte it (sometimes easily) there is no proof of a conscience in animals. There is also tests that have been done to show that man has an inner self. Or core being. There was a good explanation of this and some of the tests done a book called the case for the creator. By Lee Strobel.

Agree and disagree. Humans are capable of the most horrific acts of violence and waste. However, they are also capable of amazing acts of selflessness and love. Maybe we are the most vicious because we have a choice, as we are not entirely enslaved to our instincts, and often our choices are the epitome of ugliness and evil.

Sure. I've got nothing against humanity, but I usually like animals better. If nothing else, they don't talk back. Or at least I don't understand them. But humanity can also be wonderful. Often as a group they aren't. But sometimes they are.

Agree. We are the most vicious animal. No other animal kills for money or for pleasure. It is always out of necessity... except in rare cases of an animal going insane. And we fight for some of the dumbest reasons. "My God is bigger than your God".

Agree. Sure it is a blanket statement and doesn't apply to all but look at the needless destruction of other species and their habitats. Other animals generally kill what they need to survive. Humans kill for vanity and greed, whether it be other animals or their own kind.

I don't think you can generalize like that. There are people who are kind souls and would never hurt another person regardless of the situation. On the other hand, there are others who are unbelievably evil and would think nothing of hurting you or me while we're sitting here innocently typing away on our computers. All depends upon the makeup of the individual.

Well, Women are pretty vicious too! I think we are constantly a zero-sum species. We do something like invent anti-biotics or electricity, then we turn around and kill off a species of wild tree, or kill 100,000 of our own.
