I've got some and they're really starting to bother me.

Very carefully with either a nail clipper or a cuticle remover. Make sure your hands and utensils are clean before clipping in order not to cause infection. Be careful not to get too close to the finger/thumb... you might pinch yourself or cause bleeding. Also, be sure to let the clipper do its job... do not pull as you are cutting!......as, this also may cause bleeding/discomfort.
