Yes. I rate it on the intelligence of the answer, not whether or not I agree with it. Just because someone doesn't agree doesn't mean it's not a well thought out argument.

I'll rate some answers whether I post the question or not. Some, even if I disagree with that answer, I will give thumbs up if they are well thought out and presented. Parrot answers generally get a thumb down. Occasionally I accidentally click thumbs down when I mean thumbs up and feel bad so I then give more thumbs up than normal.

I rate not only the questions I ask but I go back to the questions I have answered and give thumbs up to those who I think gave a good answer.

Yeah I rate the answers to any question I ask. I also rate the answers to other peoples questions. Not every single answer because I do have a life.

Yes I always rate the answers. Only when I ask something that asks for opinions I feel like I can't choose, every opinion is legitimate. Then I put the question to a vote.

definite, it bugs me >< yet i think of i might quite have not have been given any scores than a bunch of thumbs down. i'm going to admit, specially situations i do no longer value all the solutions to my questions. If i think of the respond is neither sturdy nor undesirable, then i think like it may be unfair to furnish it a thumb. possibly there could be a thumbs pointing sideways? i might use that one then. I in many situations lean extra in direction of a thumb up nevertheless if i think of an answer is mediocre. It extremely ought to be poor for me to thumb down an answer.
