pay your bills on time from here on out, if you have negative credit, it will stay on your report for seven years of the date reported by the creditor...It is going to take time and patience, just pay on time and you will gradually start watching your credit scores rise..

You just have to start paying bills on time if not earlier to make it "good" again *and credit card bills, pay them WAY before and the whole amount would make the credit go up faster* , unfortunately, even if you do make it good credit again, your bad credit history will always be there though.

First, don't subscribe to one of those credit repair gimmicks. They don't work . Don't apply for numerous credit cards, it lowers your score.Try to pay bills on time. Get a copy of your credit report ,for free, and look it over. If there are errors, write to credit bureau and correct them. If there are reasons (good ones) for non-payment send a letter to credit bureau stating them. This won't automatically raise your credit score, but its a start.

First off, make every effort to pay off as much of your debt as possible each month. It's better to pay off debt vs accumulating savings.

Second, you may want to look into a debt consolidation company for help. You'll have to do some research to find out what some of the more reputable companies are that specialize in this field.
