i've been dating my boyfriend for almost 8 months now....we havent had sex...but we've been close to...he says he can wait but doesnt want to ....

No, he is not just in for sex!!!
If he were, he would have dumped you long ago and gone for someone else that would give it to him.
He also says he can wait because he likes, loves, and respects you.

How old are you. If you're into heavy petting and you're only 13 or 14, that's a very dangerous passtime. To avoid sex, don't put yourself in a position where the temptation is too strong. Go out with a group of friends and have fun with your family. If you're over 18, then you can decide for yourself what to do. But for heavens sake, use protection against disease and unwanted children.

What's your question? Obviously he isn't just dating you for the sex because you haven't had any!?!
If you want to wait and he says he will then wait. Never let a man pressure you into anything you aren't comfortable with.
But keep in mind he IS a man...
Some men are very sweet and patient others only appear to be.

do not let him pressure you into anything! i know you probably hear that all the time and all that other stuff too, but seriously... if you do it when youre not ready it could ruin everything and cause a whole lot of problems. now just because he says he doesnt want to wait doesnt mean hes using you. the real test will be if he does hold out for you... because if he does, youll know what a winner you got. and if he doesnt... trust me, girl, you are MUCH better without him; we dont need assholes like that.

If he's waited this long it's not just sex, he's just letting u know he would if u would. 8 months is a long time for a guy to wait, don't give up on him.

no, if hes been going out with u for 8 months, i dont think he's in it for sex only. but eight months is a long time, i think u should have had sex with him by now, girlfriends that ive had in the past have let me bone them in the 3rd or 4th month, maybe even earlier. lol

It's his anal way of finding out what kind of person you are. Like a dog sniffing another dogs butt! It's your body and your spirit. Never give it up if you have doubts. Because he will take it all away, in 3 minutes or less. And you will be reduced in his eyes to just some cheap tramp. AND, he will wonder how easy you were for the other guys, even if there weren't any.
