You are asking a hypothetical Question, but to answer it i will need to remind you that you don't really use all the parts of your body... some of them are of no use at all ... we all have the appendix which is a part that exists in all animals but it's useless in the human body another example that men have nipples while they don't breastfeed, most of the male mammals don't have them but the human male have them, i am talking seriously and able to mention about 10 examples of such useless parts
i believe that Adam and eve looked exactly like us, but GOD knows better anyway

You know, there really isn't anyone around that could answer this (unless the tradition that vampires came from Cain, who was condemned to walk the earth for all eternity, then someone would still be around). If I had to guess, they wouldn't have bellybuttons b/c it is a side effect of birth.
Good question though.

Good question. God created Adam and Eve in exactly the way we look today (they were created as they are). So even though they are not born, but they did have belly buttons.
And God knows best.

A very good question. If man is made in god's image, then does that mean god has a belly button? Where did he get it from? this has taxed quite senior theological minds. i will try an find an essay you may be able to get hold of. I'll come back to you.
Found it. It's called "Adam's Navel", and was written by Stephen J gould, in a book called "The flamingo's smile" , published in the UK by Penguin (1991), in the USA by W W Norton (1985).

Genesis is allegory. Your question is analogous to asking how many serpents were on Medusa's head.
Men evolved from lower life forms -- so the first man would have had a belly button.
I know you want an answer from Christians -- but the fact is that only a small fringe group of Christians reject evolution. The vast majority (including Catholics who make up more than half the Christians in the world) have no problem with evolution.

I can't believe all the rambling about weather or not Adama And Eve had belly Bottons. This is vane Jangling, a clanging symbol, a lot of noise over nothing that has any importance at all. Here is my answer. If God wanted them to have a belly button, they had one, if he didn't want them to have one they did not. How does this matter? You have completley missed what is important here by wondering about something that makes no difference at all in our lives or even the lives of Adam and Eve.

That is a GREAT theological question! :)
It is never specified in the Jewish "Torah" or the Christian "Old Testament", whether they did, or they did not. We can only guess or speculate.
G-d might have not created them with belly buttons for (like you said) not having been born, they did not need them for nourishment.
Or, he might have given them belly buttons because complete, whole, finished (pick your word here), human beings DO have them.
Would it not have been confusing for Adam & Eve when Cain and Abel were born that they had these weird things on there stomachs that they didn't?
*shrugs* I dunno. It is anybodys guess :)

I don' think there's any reference to belly buttons anywhere i n the bible. Hmm maybe I should have looked up swimming pools or navels. No oe can no for sure I can only hope Eve had one. Would have been a drag wearing mid rif shirt with no belly button.
I see said the blind man as he loked through the whole in his belly button. Sorry guys had to be said.

Don't know whether either had a "bellybutton" or not. As far as I know, there is no ancient writings which tell.
However, we can suppose that Adam did have a surgical incision.

i think MUSLIM has the best answer. It doesn't matter, what service would come of it if we knew the true answer. it served as the feeding tube while in the womb. I have hair on my fingers and there really isn't any use for it either, wait a minute they serve as fire detectors when you heat up the B*B*Q !!
