Scripture has nothing on Jesus when he was growing up. Maybe it was because Mary was an over-protective psycho, sprouting nonsense about immaculate conception, who kept Jesus sheltered away from society until his brain warped from isolation.

Maybe this and maybe that.
The fact is God Himself chose Mary because she was righteous in His eyes, as was Noah and Moses and so on. Can you imagine having a divinely, sinless perfect son who you knew one day would be persecuted by the very people He was trying to save??? What mom isn't overprotective? ( Well bad ones but that's another question ) I can and I'll tell you what I would do whatever God told me to do. And you are just being silly, Mary was never mentioned as a writer. She was just a mom, a mom to the most perfect child who ever lived.
In the movie Dogma there is this part, where Chris Rock says " How long do you think it would take you to come to grips with the fact that you weren't only God's son, but you were God? Say 18 years, in the bible Jesus goes from 12 to 30 12 to 30." It's a silly movie, but that sentence was very appropriate.

Mary and Joseph helped JESUS grow up to know the laws rules and mores of the society in which they lived so HE could become a part of that society. HE did as HE was taught until the time GOD decided it was time for HIM to start HIS ministry.

Jesus is God-incarnate. Do not believe fables, believe truth in Bible.

In the Beginning God created heavens and earth.
God gives you air to breathe and sunshine to enjoy.
God gives you water to drink and food to eat.
God gives you a wonderful body and sound mind, to live.
God loves you, and you are precious to Him.
Son of God died on the Cross to save us from condemnation.
Jesus’ love is boundless and everlasting.
We have the hope of Heaven through Jesus.
Life therefore has fantastic and glorious future!
(Digestion of above can even prevent depression and suicide attempt.)

You would enjoy Robin Williams' stand up regarding whether Jesus was a Jew.

I have wondered where it all started as well.

It ain't rude, it's just a question. There must be a good reason you believe it all other than wanting truth.
