Is it not time that muslims reformed their religion and appointed a caliph?

The world humanity laws forbid the killing of people who leave Islam for Christianity. So that law of Islam is banned when there is a constitutional protection of the world humanity laws. The one that death is required if one leaves Islam. Or the law to slaughter all unbelievers.

I doubt it's possible to ever ban it anywhere, but reform is definitely overdue. At present, it's trying to inflict mediaeval ideas and ideolologies on the 21st century. People don't accept the brutal and savage way of life of the 12th-14th centuries any longer and, they can tell the difference between religion and superstition. As other religions have realised, it's the best way of losing adherents, in advanced societies anyway. The primitive countries can live with it because it's all they've ever known and their societies are still mediaeval in structure.

I hope not. Hitler more or less banned the Jewish faith and look what happened.

Please, folks, stop being paranoid about Islam. I'm not Muslim myself, but I've read the Qu'ran and commentaries thereon, and I've been to moderate Islamic countries such as Morocco and Egypt. I've got loads of British Muslim friends and acquaintances - I play cricket with and against them regularly. They're just the same as you and me. The shortage of beer is about the only query I can raise about these places - the people are lovely and I could get all the alcohol I wanted from my hotel. I would not visit Saudi, because I do like my tipple, but I'm sure that Saudi Arabia will manage to roll along without the benefit of my little bit of dosh.

Yes, we have had 9/11 and the London bombs, but there are Christian terrorists as well - how about the IRA or UVF? I knew a chap in my previous job who claimed to be Buddhist and swindled over 20 thousand quid from the Company. I now work in the UK Courts system, and we are currently having trials for about 20 people of Chinese and Korean ethnicity, most of whom claim to be Confucian. Their crime - smuggling and supplying drugs.

My mate Ali, from Lahore, would not touch an aspirin, but he goes to his Mosque every day. Which is worse???

I don't think any country has banned Islam. I think China doesn't really allow other religions, but I could be wrong.

Typical response from sullyman. Can't take critism, can plant bombs.

One problem (of many) in islam, is that there is no structure, just sects fighting for power, rather like a turf war.
