yesterday i went to homecoming with a friend that i have known for a few years, i had a great time, and my mother thinks i should call him and say that i had a great time, but i disagree. what should i do call him or not?

No, don't call him. Come on, if he had a great time too, he would call you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you like him as maybe more than a friend, call. Even if you like him only as a friend, it would be nice to let him know that you had a great time. But if you don't feel comfortable calling, there's no need to bother. Just talk to him tomorrow.
