there was beautiful night skies in the north that was suppose to appear either october 3rd or october 4th. I thought the pictures of them were beautiful and would like to see them again. this appeared on yahoo home page october 4th 2006.

they are called the northern lights and they appear twice a year. i lived in north dakota for a while, and the first time i saw them, i thought the aliens have finally landed. the view was nothing short of amazing. it fills the entire sky and changes constantly, like the biggest light show youll ever see. there are websites with photos.
