doesn anyone know a way to get a 2 year service near glasgow for a toyota yaris...must be official toyota dealer to preserve warranty.

arnold clark charge 220 pounds...where can i beat this without invalidating my warranty?

For the record "Arnold Clark" is a major company, not a guy at the end of the street...and they own half of motoring-glasgow.

When I bought my car (there), I left with the impression that my only option was to come to them for servicing and pay a premium rate, or I would invalidate my warranty - incorrectly it seems, if indeed there has been a change in the law. (Great advice, thank you)

So anyway, it's not a case of laziness; it's a case of consumers puting their heads together and working out how to get the best deal.

That's how you make capitalism work for the little guy - and one of the great, empowering things about yahoo answers.

The legislation changed a number of years ago as to protecting your warranty........you now DO NOT have to have have your car serviced at the dealer to maintain it.....it can be at any garage...so long as you get your dealership book stamped at the time.........check with your local garage

No it has not got to be a Toyota dealer to continue warranty, any motor technician with a V.A.T registration is valid to service your vehicle as long as they use genuine Toyota parts, this was the ruling of the European courts.

I would stick with the Toyota dealer-the technicians there are Toyota certified to repair your car. Look at it as money well spent.

Stop trying to save a few pennies, blow the dust off your telephone and phone around a few reputable garages.
