why do so many people love blondes?

dont people ever get sick of blonde?? i mean to me it has become such a fake hair color. i no longer think its pretty. its so boring and now adays it seems like thats the only hair color people have. doesnt it seem so barbie like?? i used to hate my hair color (dark brown almost black) until i realized that not a lot of people have the same hair color as me and now i love it and wouldnt change it for the world. i guess im just sick of watching people drool over blonde haired blue eyed girls. i mean why are blondes considered prettier then other hair colors?

i guess its true that everyone has a personal preference but why does the majority of peoples preferences have to be that they like blondes?

I COMPLETELY agree! its so overrated and annoying! like everyone is obsessed with blonde hair that its kinda old now. I'm so glad I dont have blonde hair cause if I did I bet I would even get sick of it! I love my brunette hair and I wouldnt change it for the world either! unless I was doing black or something but not blonde!!

It's really weird how blondes get more attention. I was reading an older issue of Forbes and it said that people (both men and women) really do prefer a woman with blonde hair as opposed to dark hair. I think it is a recessive trait so it's considered "rare beauty". It also depends on the person cuz not everyone can pull of blonde hair.

Keep in mind that some of the most beautiful people of the world aren't blondes (i.e. Angelina Jolie).

actually, I dont like everyone dying their hair blonde either..... half the time it looks like crap! Oh... and those HORRIBLE thick blonde highlights! like brassy zebra stripes! gross!

This will probably upset you, but im a natural blonde and i recently dyed my hair dark red-brown... I always welcome a change. (of course i work in a salon, so its easy for me to do!)

I love that i was born blonde - but i love it because thats part of my heritage - not because its a better hair color than the others.
In fact, i think there is nothing prettier than a rich red, or a glossy brown!

Think about this: Pamela Anderson, Loni Anderson, Anna Nicole Smith, Marilyn Monroe, Jayne Mansfield - these women have been the subject of many a man's fantasy forever. I don't know why specifically them, but that's why there's a fascination with blondes.

I 'm naturally blonde-haired and blue-eyed and I want to have darker hair like my sister does but I really think that it comes down to as people want what they don't have. Since blonde hair is more rare than darker hair, it's seen as more desireable.

Blondie hair is a sign of youth, and fertility, combined with blue eyes is said to be the Anglo Saxons perfect example of the white race.... the Blondie hair is also associated with Angels....all this is a myth...I'm sure if it were true you could also have Angels with dark hair.

I think most people like blonds because most blonds are skinny and try to dress up really nice to show off!!!!!!!!!

I agree it is so Barbie like and people look so stupid when they dye their hair and you can obviously tell they are not true blondes.
