Im wondering...?

Question

what are some ways can u pay pack the community? I want to build a group that picks up trash and other stuff on Sundays.. but there is alot of stuff the {we} would need to do to make my neiborhood a better place. Also im a teenager so any advice? Where should i start? Any ideas or advice at all? Thanks

find out when and where your next town meeting is and do to it and ask the supervisors or head of the meeting to get your word out. We have township meetings here and that's where we start all of our service committees.

I think a good place to start my be to check out the website at www.recycle.com/kids.
Also, here in Missouri, a lot of kids are getting together to pick up/cleanup neighborhoods after tornadoes have come thru. The victims of these storms often are at a great loss and don't know where to start. Seeing these kids helps so much because it gives the victims a reality-check and a place to begin putting their lives back together.
America needs more kids with your attitude.

If you're in an area with a lot of gang bangers, some of them might take offense at your project. They like the hood just as it is. If they get in your face about it, stop the project. Don't lose your life over litter.

shovel snow for people who can't do it themselves
help carry packages to the car for people who are shopping
run errands for the sick and elderly
teach basic computer skills to newbies
feed the homeless at a shelter

just some ideas to get you started. i think you're great for wanting to give back to the community. wish there were more kids like you.

Contact the DOT, where you get driver's licenses and tell them you'd like to adopt a highway. They'll get you the dayglow vests and pick up the bags of litter you collect.
